Events and Schedule Changes for the Season

Children's Ministry Gingerbread Bash: December 18th, for Children's Ministry families. We’ll build gingerbread nativities, play games, sing songs, hear the Christmas story from the Bible, and discover that sometimes the best gift comes in the most ordinary box. Choir Christmas Worship: The SMRBC choir will be leading musical worship in the 9:30 and 11:00 AM services on Sunday, December 18th before Pastor Jim's message. Join us for this special time of choral Christmas worship.

Christmas Services: You are invited to join us for one of our Christmas Eve services or for the Christmas morning service. The message will be the same on Christmas Eve and on Christmas Day, so we encourage your family to choose just one service to join us that weekend.

  • Saturday, December 24th @ 3:00 PM
  • Saturday, December 24th @ 5:00 PM (also to be streamed online @ smrbc.org/live)
• Christmas Day Service
  • Sunday, December 25th @ 11:00 AM (also to be streamed online @ smrbc.org/live)

No Other Activities on Sunday, December 25th. Other than the 11:00 AM Worship Service on Christmas Day, there will be no other Sunday morning services or activities on Sunday, December 25th. That means there will be no nursery, Children's preschool, Children's Sunday School, Student Ministry Life Groups, Adult Life Groups, 8:00 AM service, or 9:30 AM service.

No Wednesday Night Activities the Weeks Before or After Christmas

Recognizing the many Christmas-related activities and travel of our members, we will not have any of our regularly scheduled Wednesday night activities on Wednesday, December 21st or Wednesday, December 28th. That means there will be no childcare, no Children's choir, no Children's Ministry Foundations groups, no Student Ministry Ignite, no Prayer Meeting, and no adult choir rehearsal on those days.

SMRBC Office Closures

The SMRBC Office will be closed for the following dates:

• Christmas: Monday, December 26th through Friday, December 30th
• New Years: Monday, January 2nd

Messages can be left and will be periodically checked on the church's main phone mailbox. You can also reach the staff by email at email@smrbc.org, which will be monitored daily.

2022 Year-End Giving Deadlines

Physical contributions must be received by the end of the day Thursday, December 30th, 2022 to be posted to your 2022 giving statement. They can be dropped into the offering boxes on the Sunday before, mailed (as long as they reach our mailbox by that date), or if the church office is closed you can drop them into our mailbox directly. The church mailbox is in front of the church office entrance on the Staples Mill Road side of the church - simply open the pull-door and push the envelope all the way to the back until it drops into the bottom of the box.

Online giving with a transaction date on or before December 31, 2022, will be posted to your 2022 giving statement.

Contributions received after these times will be posted to your 2023 giving statement.
