Why I serve: I chose to serve with SMS because that was a very formative time in my life and my youth pastor/leaders had a big impact on me and I hope to have a big impact on our current students.
Favorite Bible verse: 1 Timothy 4:12 - "Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity."
Fun fact: My favorite ice cream is Blue Bell Pistachio Almond!

Why I think having a student ministry in the church is beneficial: These are the years that these kids are trying to figure a lot of stuff out. There are a ton of voices trying to get them to be like the world. They need people who can be an example and teach them to not walk in the ways of the world.
