Become a Mentor with STEP Jobs for Life Program

STEP (Strategies to Elevate People) is an SMRBC ministry partner serving the Gilpin Court public housing community.

Jobs for Life is a twelve-week biblical program surrounding public housing residents with teaching, encouragement, and accountability as students overcome roadblocks, define career goals, and improve their resumes and interviewing skills. Experience in any industry is welcome! What matters most is a willingness to listen, encourage, and provide practical advice on job skills, workplace expectations, and professional growth!

Mentor orientation will be held Tuesday, March 11th from 6pm to 8:30pm at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church (1627 Monument Ave, Richmond, VA 23220). The class will meet Tuesday evenings, March 18th - June 3rd from 6pm-8pm at Grace Covenant. You are welcome to attend orientation even if you aren't sure about mentoring!
